Why This Reference Exists
North Carolina makes many government records available, but a person who has left custody does not remain in the same system forever. The Graham County Sheriff holds local booking and release records. NCDAC runs offender and inmate-release searches for state correctional records, while community supervision and the Post-Release Supervision and Parole Commission handle different forms of supervision. Federal prison releases belong in the Bureau of Prisons system. This site organizes those release-record, offender-search, supervision, and request routes without combining them into a misleading single database.
Resources Collected Here
The pages focus on official channels and on the custody distinction that determines which channel is useful:
- The home page provides the complete Graham County released-inmate search and records-request guide, with separate help for a release date lookup, a VINE inmate check, and post-release supervision.
- The Graham County Detention Center page gives the official address, jail telephone number, and facility-specific release and transfer paths.
- Lookup instructions distinguish Sheriff records from the NCDAC statewide offender tools and explain why a current-custody view is not a historical release archive.
- Records guidance describes how to ask the appropriate custodian for an existing booking transaction or booking photograph without assuming that either is posted online.
Limits of This Site
This is an independent reference website. It has no connection to the Graham County Sheriff's Office, Graham County Detention Center, NCDAC, or any local, state, or federal government body.
- We cannot release, detain, or transfer a person.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for someone else.
- We do not provide legal advice.
- We cannot promise that an address, telephone number, fee, or agency procedure has not changed.
Only the responsible Sheriff, court, corrections department, or other custodian can confirm a current status, charge, transfer, or release. These pages point toward official sources but do not replace them.
Third-Party Search Partners
Some pages contain search tools operated by outside providers. Those providers control their own results and prices. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid subscription or purchase, this site may receive a referral fee that helps keep the reference pages available at no charge. The referral relationship does not give this site control over a partner's data, terms, or billing.
